| November 1944 the joint chiefs created operation Bingo. an assignment to the 321stBomb Group to keep the Brenner pass closed, at any expense ,with precision bombing and 5 minute straight and level bomb runs with no evasive action until the bombs are dropped. It meant successful bomb runs and lots of lost aircraft. | |
