| April 9th,10th and 11th were critical to the ending of the war in Europe. Our ground troops in northern Italy were facing the Germans in a crucial battle. They called on the 57th Bomb Wing to bomb the German troops just ahead our own troops by shooting up a line of flac for our bombers to use as a guide to drop our bombs just over the line and kill thousands of Germans. Here is that story and bomb formation schedules showing the brave airmen who accomplished this feat.. | ||
